The world is changing. According to a study, 'The World in 205', western civilization many Gambia choose as a model is on decline. Do Gambia have another alternative for its political and economic model?

Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices.

Should Gambia look at i.e. 'Socialist Latin America', 'Asian Tigers', 'Moderate Turkey', 'Malaysia', 'South Korea' or what other options?

Turk, I could not force myself to read all this stuff,I bet no one on bantaba could either, however if you were to offer a week free fully inclusive holiday including flight to Bodrum I am sure that many would come and have an hours discussion every day on this stuff,anyway I went to page 40 where I found

the Brazilian economy would be of similar size to that of Japan by 2050 at market exchange rates and slightly larger in PPP terms, but still only around 20-25% of the size of the US economy;
• Indonesia and Mexico would also grow relatively rapidly, being larger than either Germany or the UK by 2050 (even at market exchange rates);
• Russia would grow significantly more slowly due to its projected sharply declining working age population, but would still be of similar size to France by 2050 at either market exchange rates or PPPs; and
• Turkey would grow more strongly due to its younger population, being of similar size to Italy by 2050 at both market exchange rates and in PPP terms.

Which refers to Turkey,maybe the reason for your posting.

No observations or discussion from me I see myself being very tied up and examined about anything that I wrote concerning the content of this report and my brain would be overloaded,please enjoy reading it yourself .

Do not worry. Someone else will read, study, understand, decide and execute and that will change your life and, later, you can complain about it.

Yes, when I was reading about Turkey and its bright future, I wanted to relate this to Gambia which is struggling with political and economic uncertainty. I want to let others know that 'western democracy' 'western capitalism' are not necessarily the best/only option for Gambia. It maybe viable to explore something else, or perhaps develop something unique with the ideas from others.

For bodrum, I don't go vacation in Bodrum and I don't recommend it to you either. It is a typical tourist town. I would recommend you to go Black Sea region instead, it is more authentic, exotic and you can experience the real taste of turkish hospitality.

Or, you are welcome to join me in Basse and Jinnack in Gambia.
