Interesting regarding the Gambia departure tax As matter of interest
many countries have this charge
But Ponder this
Visa for the Philppines £22 reasonable I think.
That covers you for up to 59 days then you can renew it at montly periodes at 500 pesos per month = £7.46 again reasonable
What you are not told is untill you get there is if you stay longer than the 59 days you have to get an I.D card at a cost of 6000 pesos
= £89.55 Now that realy hurts
How long befor gambia brings that one in or visas as a money spinner
But as I have said befor once in the Philippines its sill silly cheap not so Gambia

Nice to see you back Snuggles,I feel that you have chilled out a lot and are now content,India is another country that has a visa charge last time I was there it was £36 probably more now,its a shame that governments are not content to let tourists visit their countries without charging them for the privilage of visiting,Australia has the best gimmic there is no charge for a visa but there is an administration fee, everyone everywhere is greedy grasping for money!! the UK ? well,no need to tell you Snuggles, I have the feeling that you may not return here for some time.
