An excellent idea,BUT with MOST Gambians cooking with by charcoal or wood ,what happened to the project to sentise people to the environmental problems caused by cooking in such a way? LPG was the answer, here again LPG and the necessary stoves are not easy for the average Gambian to have, AND LPG has to be imported,AND paid for.
If I remember there was a small Indian project to show people how to construct a holder for methane gas that could be used for cooking the raw material was animal droppings, from cattle goats donkeys horses etc. This idea although laudable has not been sufficiently investigated as to how to implement the idea.
