Oh folks ! do not despair
Keep the lights of hope shining
Even if it's a weak glow of a candle light
Strive on heroes as your's is a noble cause
Fighting to set one free is a right from birth
Our day will surely come !
When we shall celebrate a liberation
That would be a day of glory ; filled with joy
A day worthy enough for all those born free to hope for

Never mind the huge boulders set in front
Made to block your moves
Do all you can to pass them by any means
For the goal is to be free
Any price is good for that cause
Along the way some will surely die
It would be enough for them to know or believe
That one day their offspring shall enjoy
The fruits of that struggle
They shall thenceforth cherish their freedom
Guarding it with firm jealousy
With the zeal of those who cannot relinquish ; ever again
Their natural inheritance
Which is peace and freedom
From Oppression
Surely our day will come

Let the brutes and their support gloat
We know they live on borrowed time
Tyranny cannot thrive forever
Justice and right are built on firmer ground
Whereas the other is staked on weak bases
Which eventually fonder and crumble down;
In the face of concerted resistance
Our day will come and no one can stop that coming
Then we shall kick out the brutes to where they belong
There they will stay forever
Leaving the free to enjoy the peace
That they have yearned and struggle for
Sighing with relief
Shouting out loud
Never again !
This is more than a wish
It is a prayer
To which all good hearts should say amen.
