As you all know Haliffa Sallah will be coming to Gothenburg.

A meeting will be held for the general public at the Gambian association, at Vagnmakaregatan 8 at 18:00 hrs Thursday 10 of august.

The topic will be" National Reconciliation, Justice and Democratisation".

We would like to invite everyone. This is a great opportunity to get more knowledge about a very unique and historical democratisation process. It might be the first time ever in African history or probably the world, were a dictator and a tyrant has through democratic and peaceful processes been succefully removed.

Haliffa Sallah is one of the political figures that through out the fight against Tyranny has emphazised the impoirtance of democratic processes and elections as a way of beating tyranny and reintroducing democracy in the Gambia.

He is one of the political figures that laid the foundation for the Coalitiion, and the agreement that later made it possible to oust Yahya Jammeh. He was later the Presidents special adviser, and was present in the country to negotiate with the dictator Yahya Jammeh and the ECOWAS and their peace keeping forces, ECOMIG, which could bring a peaceful and bloodless solution to the political impasse and the crisis that followed the elections.

You will have the posiibility to put your questions straigth to Haliffa Sallah, and to be part of the discussions on how he sees the work that will strenghten our newfound democracy and bring stability and progress to the Gambia.

So no matter if you are a Gambian, Swedish or of another nationality, if you are interested in politics, you will probably find this unique opportunity very interesting.

Hope to see you on the 10th of August, 18:00 at the Gambian Association, Vagnmakaregatan 8, Göteborg.
