Jammeh changes Agric minister, withdraws presidential affairs appointment
The Point: Tuesday, December 29, 2015
 President Yahya Jammeh has decided to relieve Ismaila Sanyang and Soulayman Samba of their cabinet appointments, as ministers of Agriculture and Presidential Affairs respectively, with effect from Monday 28 December 2015.
In the same vein, the President has appointed Sheriffo Bojang as deputy Minister of Agriculture under the Office of the President with immediate effect.
Mr Samba remains secretary general and head of the civil service, according to a state TV broadcast last night.

The general public is hereby informed that His Excellency The President of the Islamic Republic of The Gambia, Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya A.J.J. Jammeh – Babili Mansa, acting under the Provision of Sections 71(1) and 71(3) of the Constitution of the Republic of The Gambia has appointed Mr Ismaila Sanyang, as Minister of Agriculture, with effect from 5 January 2016, according to a press release from the Office of the President, sent yesterday to this paper. |
