Kuntaur major health centre in Central River Region-North has received a donation of medical examination beds and physiographic materials from Gambian Danish Friendship Society (Gambias Venner).

Presenting the materials, Kanimang Camara, on behalf of the Chairman of Gambias Venner said some couple of years ago, the health center received numerous medical items from the donor which resulted to the creation of an enabling environment in the health facility.

He said communities of Niani District recognises the Organisation’s contribution in providing wider access to affordable health care for all.
Chief of Niani District Alhagie Pierre Bah said the health centre is covering a large catchment area.
According to him, the donated materials will go a long way in contributing to effective and meaningful health care in the area, while challenging authorities and staff of the health facility to ensure responsible handling of the materials.
Representing Kuntaur Wharf Town, Imam Dean Barry emphasised the importance and relevance of the donated materials.
Assistant officer in charge of the health facility Momodou Barry expressed appreciation for the donation.
