FGM is tragic and unacceptable,life in Gambia is different to that in western countries,Gambia is a small country where those from other African countries can have a better life,however The UK is a dream for VERY MANY AFRICANS,where they have a chance to have a much improved lifestyle with more opportunities than Gambia can provide.
"Simple is good" & I strongly dislike politics. You cannot defend the indefensible.

Again here we have a traditional practice that is carried out by untrained people with nothing but BASIC EQUIPMENT and knowledge that has been handed down to them through many generations of practitioners, resulting OFTEN in horrendous medical problems that will go untreated in MANY African countries resulting in permanent lifelong misery for the women
