The going gets rough and tough
Journeying on a route so crude
Meeting varieties of sordid happenstances
That beg understanding
The lost leading the blind
Down the alley of the confused
Babbling endless a cacophonous outcry of distress
Is all that signals the presence
Jakali hill in the end heralds a coming
That of hope but no joy yet
This burden is still on the beastly donkey's back
Waiting to be offloaded
Bearing it with resilient patience
Knowing for sure that would be done
When it will be done
Until then babbling rabble rousers
Will rule this roost
Making out that they know
When dug deep it shows they know nix
So we bear their useless banter
On the south bank though
The merciless mogul sits in pride
Dispensing terror at will
On a hapless folk
Who depend on faith
To come to their succour
Waiting that endless wait
It seems the deity is gone awol
Leaving them to suffer
With no aid coming at all
Jakali is never going to cease
This is the end of their joys
Or perhaps a test of their real faith
Before getting relief
Like rain after a long long drought
The interval though is jakali's reign
